Audio Support
If you're having trouble with not hearing other participants in the Space, or others can't hear you, here are a couple of tips you can try to troubleshoot:
Please make sure that all participants reload the page and join the Space again.
- First, ensure you have given permission to your browser to allow for audio and video. When you join you will see a popup that asks you to allow access, press “Allow”. Ask the same thing from other participants.
- Check the Troubleshooting menu for any prompts about issues in the Space. You can check if other participants are having any issues.
- Make sure that the hardware you're using is not on mute. Look for this icon
that indicates if the website is muted. Click the icon to unmute and turn the volume up on your hardware. If possible, use headphones for better audio quality.
- Check the Device Setup menu and choose a different audio source.
- When making any changes, make sure to reload the page and join the Space again.
If permissions were previously denied, you may need to update your browser settings to allow access again.
Reset Browser Permissions for Camera and Microphone
If the camera or microphone is not working during a session, follow these steps to reset and re-enable permissions:
- Locate the Lock Icon
In the browser’s address bar (next to the URL), find and click the lock icon. - Access Site Permissions
A dropdown will appear. Select the option to manage camera and microphone settings. - Reset Permissions
Click the "Reset permissions" button to clear any previous deny/block settings. - Re-allow Access
A new browser window or tab may open. When prompted, click "Allow" to re-enable access to both the microphone and camera. - Refresh the Session
Log the student out of the current session, then have them log back in to apply the updated permissions.
Check for Mechanical or Hardware Issues
If you're still having trouble after confirming browser permissions, consider these possibilities:
🎧 Faulty headset: Try unplugging and reconnecting your headset.
Click Allow when prompted. If headset is the issue then request for an alternative pair if its available.
🔌 Loose connection: Ensure your headset or microphone is securely connected to your device.
🧪 Test with another app: Use a different application (e.g https://www.onlinemictest.com/) to check whether the issue is specific to Lessonspace or with the headset.
