Student Report Cards User Guide

The Report Cards page lets you download student report cards for your school without leaving the School Portal.

Overview

The Report Cards page lets you download student report cards for your school without leaving the School Portal. You can download one student at a time or download a single merged file with every student’s report card for a cycle, which is handy for printing and sending home. You can access report cards if you are a school administrator, school system administrator, or a teacher. You will only see report cards for the school(s) you're assigned to.

Finding and Downloading Student Report Cards

Finding the Report Cards Page

  • Log in to the School Portal
  • Open Report Cards from the side navigation

Downloading one Student’s Report Card

  • Select your school. If you are assigned to more than one school, choose the one you want from the school selector. If you are assigned to a single school, it is already selected for you.

  • Select a school year and a report card cycle. Cycles are labeled with a date so you can tell them apart.

  • Find the student in the list.
  • In the student’s row, click the download button for the language you want.

If a student has a report card in more than one language, the row shows a button for each. Students whose home language is Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic have both an English report card and a home-language report card.

Downloading all Report Cards for a Cycle

  • Select your school, school year, and a report card cycle.
  • Choose the option to download the merged report card.

The merged file contains every student’s report card for that cycle in one PDF. Use it when you want to print or share the full set at once.

Finding a Specific Student

Use the search box to look up a student by name. You can also sort the list to organize students the way you prefer.

Understanding What You See

Report Card Cycles

Report cards are grouped by cycle. Each cycle is labeled with a date. Once in a while, a school may have two report cards close together, so both may appear as separate dated cycles. Check the date to choose the one you want.

Baseline reports

A student’s baseline report shows their starting point at the beginning of their time in the program. Baseline reports are available on this page alongside cycle report cards

Languages

English report cards are always available. When a student’s home language is Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic, a home-language version is also available as a separate download.

Troubleshooting

  • A student I expected to see is not on the list.
The list shows students who have a report card for the school year and cycle you selected. First, check that you have the right school, school year, and cycle chosen. If a student should have a report card for a completed cycle and it is still missing, contact your Ignite Reading team.

  • There is nothing to select in the report card cycle list.
This can happen very early in the school year, before the first cycle has finished. Report cards will appear here once the first cycle completes.

  • I don’t see a school selector.
If you are assigned to a single school, there is nothing to choose, so your school is already selected, and you go straight to its report cards.

  • I see the wrong schools, or I’m missing a school.
